What I can offer at an event

I relate easily to children of all ages, and love providing creative and exciting events at schools, libraries and festivals. These vary from interactive talks to writing workshops, and are perfect for 8-12 year olds.

Stonebird is great for the classroom, because it deals with issues like bullying and dementia in a sensitive way – but it also has all the magic of modern fantasy, with a gargoyle that comes alive.

My latest novel, Stormwalker, is an exciting adventure set in two worlds: a modern day Cambridge and a far-future apocalyptic wasteland.

Discover how I became an author

As well as reading from Stonebird, I will tell the story of how I went from a MASSIVELY reluctant reader to someone who devours books, and show the class some goofy photos from when I was their age . . .
